“The space carries a rich history - from a 1927 dry cleaner’s to a violin studio. Parts of the interior have been preserved as a beautiful nod to its past”

Studio with vintage charm

In preparing Ateljé Brinken, the vision has been clear from the start: to build sustainably and preserve the unique soul of the space. Rather than stripping everything out and starting from scratch, the design made consciously chosen to work with upcycling and circular interior design with 90 % recycled furnitures. As a tribute to the building's past, parts of the original interior have been preserved as beautiful nods to its previous lives. These raw, charming details have been carefully blended with thrifted furniture and functional solutions. The result is a highly personal and designed to inspire new ideas.
